Job Description

Speech Language Pathologist - SLP / Communication Specialist

Enhance Lives Through Communication in Scenic Nebraska – Embark on a Journey as a Speech Language Pathologist

Imagine your next career move fostering connections and enabling expression. As a Speech Language Pathologist immersed in the charm of Omaha, you'll transcend the conventional role of addressing speech and swallowing disorders; instead, you'll dive into a profound mission of unlocking potential, boosting self-esteem, and forging meaningful human connections — whether it's the toddler excitedly pronouncing their first words or the elderly individual as they reclaim their autonomy.

At our facility, you will interact with a diverse population throughout their life stages in a setting that harmonizes outpatient therapies with occasional inpatient care. If your passions lie in pediatric language advancement, adult communication challenges, or geriatric cognitive rehabilitation, you will discover a rewarding and flexible avenue for your career here.

Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized assessment tools and observation techniques.

Craft individualized treatment strategies that address both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.

Deliver personalized speech therapy focused on language, communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing adjustments.

Collaborate effectively with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to devise comprehensive care strategies.

Educate patients and their families to enhance progress outside of clinical environments.

Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and treatments to ensure seamless transitions in the continuum of care.

Maintain precise and timely documentation that aligns with federal, state, and organizational regulations.

Engage in ongoing education and peer collaboration to stay abreast of advancements within the field.

A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.

Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.

Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of employment.

Expertise in evidence-based treatment methodologies for diverse populations, with a deep comprehension of both developmental and acquired communication, language, and swallowing disorders.

Exceptional interpersonal communication abilities with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams.

Capacity to adapt therapeutic strategies to reflect diverse cultural and linguistic considerations.

Strong clinical judgment paired with adept problem-solving skills.

Proficiency with electronic medical records and documentation expectations.

Attractive compensation that reflects experience level.

Flexible scheduling to support work-life harmony and a range of patient needs.

Specialization opportunities in pediatrics, adult neuro rehab, or geriatric care.

Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday compensation.

Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance packages available.

Funding for continuing education and career development initiatives.

A collaborative and team-oriented environment dedicated to exceptional care and continuous learning.

A Career of Impact — Awaiting Your Unique Touch

Within this role, you'll do more than dispense speech therapy; you'll weave yourself into a community-focused mission aimed at reviving voices, strengthening interpersonal dialogue, and celebrating the joy inherent to human connection through the profound simplicity of listening and sharing.

You will have the chance to work alongside clinicians who treat one another like family in an atmosphere that prioritizes collaboration over competition, where every patient has a narrative to tell, and you'll be entrusted to help them articulate it.

Why You Will Cherish Living and Working Here

For healthcare professionals, rewards extend beyond quality of life — benefitting from no state income tax, accessible living costs, and a flourishing healthcare environment makes Omaha a place where both life and careers flourish.

Whether you're entering the field fresh-faced or are a seasoned professional hanging up your shingle, here you will carve out a niche where both personal and vocational growth are encouraged and nurtured.

Whom We Are Looking for

We seek a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist passionate about transforming lives with genuine empathy. Someone who observes the quiet child and envisions a horizon full of self-expression, or perceives the fragmented speech of a recovering stroke patient and hears their drive.

Whether your expertise is in pediatric care with aspirations to branch into adult rehabilitation, or a neuro-specialist ready to include early intervention approaches into your practice, know that your passion will be welcome among us.

If you are eager to lead with compassion and skill, we are ready with open arms for you.

Join Us as We Discover the Right Words Together

If you recognize that speech is more than mere sound and that therapy transcends tasks — if you value forging trust before addressing goals, celebrating laughter alongside language — then this could be the next chapter you've long sought in your professional journey.

Join us in a community that cherishes dialogue, connection, and the courage needed to embark on new beginnings. Apply now to bring your invaluable voice to our team — and help others rediscover theirs.
