Position Overview:

Elmura Linguistics is currently seeking qualified Medical Interpreters in Atlanta, GA to support healthcare facilities and medical providers. Interpreters will facilitate clear and accurate communication between healthcare professionals and patients with limited English proficiency.

This position is ideal for experienced interpreters who are professional, reliable, and familiar with medical terminology and interpretation ethics.

Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate and complete interpretation between English and the target language in medical settings.
• Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines.
• Remain neutral and professional during all assignments.
• Arrive on time and prepared for scheduled appointments.
• Complete any required assignment documentation.

Qualifications:

• Fluency in English and at least one additional language.
• Experience in medical interpretation preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and interpreter ethics.
• Professional demeanor and strong communication skills.
• Reliable transportation for on-site assignments.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Medical Interpreter preferred.
• Previous experience interpreting in hospitals or clinics.
