As an ER Registered Nurse at AHN Neighborhood Hospital, you will play a critical role in delivering timely, compassionate, and high-quality emergency care to patients in their local community. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will perform rapid assessments, triage patients across all acuity levels, and provide evidence-based interventions for a broad range of medical, surgical, and trauma conditions. You will be responsible for administering medications, IV therapies, and treatments, monitoring vital signs and patient responses, and escalating changes in condition to providers quickly and appropriately. In this role, you will collaborate closely with emergency physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and ancillary staff to coordinate care and ensure that each patient receives individualized, patient-focused treatment. You will participate in medical emergencies and code situations, performing life-saving interventions within your scope of practice and following established protocols for ACLS, PALS, and other emergency standards. Accurate, timely documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) will be a core part of your daily work, helping to support continuity of care and regulatory compliance. At AHN Neighborhood Hospital, you will be part of a community-centered healthcare team that values compassion, inclusion, and collaboration. You will provide clear, empathetic communication to patients and families, explaining procedures, treatments, and discharge instructions to promote understanding and safe transitions of care. You will support patient throughput and flow by efficiently prioritizing tasks, coordinating transport, and working with inpatient units and other departments as needed. The hospital’s culture emphasizes teamwork, innovation, and shared accountability for quality and safety. As an ER Registered Nurse, you will adhere to infection prevention and safety protocols, contribute to a clean and organized clinical environment, and participate in ongoing education, skills validation, and quality improvement initiatives. AHN Neighborhood Hospital offers the opportunity to grow your emergency nursing skills in a supportive environment while making a meaningful impact on the health of the local community.
