Equipment Rental Sales Representative – Outside Sales
Pay: $70,000 – $90,000 per year depending on experience
This position is responsible for developing new business and maintaining customer relationships for an equipment rental company. The role involves calling on customers in person and over the phone to promote equipment rental services and contracts.
Applicants must have previous experience working in equipment rental sales. Candidates without equipment rental industry experience will not be considered.
Requirements
• Previous experience working in equipment rental sales
• Experience developing new business and managing customer accounts
• Ability to meet revenue and sales targets
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to use Microsoft Excel and Word to prepare reports and customer information
• Reliable transportation for visiting customer locations
Responsibilities
• Call on customers in person and by phone to promote equipment rental services
• Follow up on sales leads and develop new business opportunities
• Prepare and present equipment rental quotes to customers
• Negotiate equipment rental contracts and service agreements
• Maintain relationships with existing customers and develop new accounts
• Prepare sales reports and maintain customer information using Excel and Word
• Meet or exceed assigned revenue and sales targets
Work Environment
This position involves visiting construction, industrial, and commercial customers while also performing office based sales activities such as preparing quotes, reports, and customer communications.
Preferred Experience
• Equipment rental industry experience
• Experience selling construction or industrial equipment services
• Experience managing commercial customer accounts
