Cemetery Grounds & Operations Manager




Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and hands-on  Cemetery Grounds & Operations Manager to oversee the maintenance, appearance, and daily operations of our cemetery property. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the grounds remain  well-maintained, respectful, and dignified , while coordinating burial services and managing groundskeeping activities.
The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces, can lead by example, and understands the importance of providing families with a peaceful and respectful environment.


Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain the overall  appearance and condition of cemetery grounds
  
  
• Coordinate and assist with  burial preparations and services
  
  
• Supervise and participate in  groundskeeping tasks , including mowing, trimming, pruning, and landscaping
  
  
• Ensure the cemetery remains  well-manicured, safe, and respectful at all times
  
  
• Perform  minor repairs and maintenance on headstones, markers, fences, and other cemetery structures
  
  
• Operate and maintain  groundskeeping equipment
  
  
• Coordinate seasonal maintenance such as leaf removal, snow clearing, and landscaping improvements
  
  
• Maintain accurate records related to burial locations and property maintenance
  
  
• Provide  leadership and direction for groundskeeping staff or contractors as needed
