We are seeking a skilled SAS Administrator/Developer with a minimum of five years of experience to support our [Linux/Windows] environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAS administration, development, and support, with expertise in cloud-based SAS products, maintaining system performance, ensuring data integrity, and developing solutions for complex business needs.
Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain SAS environments on [Linux/Windows] platforms.
Perform upgrades, patches, and vulnerability management for SAS software.
Monitor system performance, usage, and capacity to ensure high availability and scalability.
Manage SAS metadata, user access, and security policies.
Perform regular backups, disaster recovery planning, and execution.
Develop and maintain SAS programs to meet business reporting and analytics needs.
Design, build, and validate new data integration and transformation processes using SAS.
Troubleshoot and optimize SAS code for efficiency and performance.
Experience deploying and managing SAS products in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Leverage cloud-native tools to monitor and scale SAS workloads.
Integrate SAS solutions with cloud-based databases, storage, and analytics tools.
Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources and DBMS platforms.
Query and manipulate data using SQL and SAS tools to support reporting requirements.
Work with business users to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Provide support for SAS users, including issue resolution and technical guidance.
Collaborate with IT teams to integrate SAS with other enterprise tools and systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications
A minimum of five years of experience in SAS administration and development in a [Linux/Windows] environment.
Hands-on experience with SAS products in cloud environments.
Strong experience with SAS Base, SAS Studio, SAS Enterprise Guide, and SAS Visual Analytics.
Proficiency in SAS administration on [Linux/Windows] platforms.
Ability to query and analyze data from relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Greenplum, Cloudera/DataLake, DB2).
Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python) for automation and integration tasks.
Familiarity with [Linux/Windows] system administration, including performance monitoring and security.
Experience with server infrastructure, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Team player with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
SAS Certified Platform Administrator.
SAS Programming Certifications.
[Optional: Certifications in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.]
Additional Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Familiarity with ITIL processes for incident, change, and problem management is a plus.
Visa Sponsorship:
This SAS Administrator/Developer position is currently not eligible for employment visa sponsorship (e.g., H-1B visa). This includes, for example, situations where a candidate may have temporary work authorization while enrolled in school or upon graduation (e.g., CPT, OPT) but would need H-1B visa sponsorship within a few years of employment in order to maintain employment eligibility.
Location:
This position has a hybrid work from home schedule with a minimum of three days per week in the office at the new Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.
This position can be located 100% remote within the United States or will be a hybrid work schedule (3 days a week in office) if you are within 50 miles of the new Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.
