The position is based out of Exeter, NH.
Job Summary: The Business Development Officer is responsible for the development and cultivation of a variety of micro and small business relationships.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Proactively generate, cultivate, and maintain a portfolio of small business clients by building long-term relationships, and providing tailored financial guidance.
• Actively build and manage a pipeline of prospective clients; converting leads to long-term relationships.
• Originate and close new loans for both existing customers and prospects consistent with the Bank's credit policies and state and federal regulations.
• Focus on acquiring and strengthening relationships that are creditworthy, deposit rich, and aligned with the Bank's strategic goals.
• Proactively identify cross-selling opportunities and recommend appropriate products and services including deposit accounts, Treasury Management services, Merchant services, and Wealth solutions.
• Leverage knowledge of banking products and services to provide holistic financial solutions that meet both the personal and business needs of our clients.
• Partner with internal departments including retail branches, underwriting, treasury management, and marketing, to deliver seamless end-to-end client experiences and ensure all needs are met.
• Promote the bank and the bank's products in surrounding communities to enhance visibility and support local business development.
• Participate in professional, business and community activities to promote a positive public image in our markets.
• Track and evaluate progress towards business goals including loan origination, deposit growth, and Treasury Management for product sales.
• Remain up to date on market trends to stay relevant in the industry.
• Stay informed of changes in compliance requirements and legislation collaborating with the Retail, BSA, and Product Development teams.
• Assume additional responsibilities and participate in special projects as requested.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Strong sales, organizational, communication and public relations skills.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related areas.
• Educated in banking, federal and state regulations and laws.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.

Pay Range: $75,247.15 - $105,346.01
The pay range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the pay range for this job at the time of posting.
Actual pay may vary based on experience, skills, and market factors; additional compensation may apply.
