About the Role
The Company is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the cultural landscapes of Southwestern Pennsylvania. It is seeking engaged and forward-thinking leaders to join its Board of Directors. Board members play a crucial role in guiding the organization's strategy, strengthening regional partnerships, and ensuring the vitality of the region's cultural and natural assets. This leadership opportunity is for individuals who are committed to the future of Southwestern Pennsylvania and are interested in the stewardship of its historic places, working landscapes, outdoor recreation, and community identity. Responsibilities for Board members include providing strategic guidance, financial oversight, and support for the organization's partnerships and programs. The ideal candidates will have experience in areas such as community development, historic preservation, conservation, outdoor recreation, finance, business leadership, planning, law, philanthropy, or regional economic development. A willingness to collaborate, think strategically, and contribute to the long-term sustainability of the organization is essential. Board members serve two-year terms and are expected to participate in regular meetings, committee work, and organizational events, as well as to help advance the organization through partnerships, advocacy, and resource development.
