THE JOB:
Armed Security Officers (ASOs) are tasked with providing visible armed security at designated entry and exit points, enhancing existing security measures. They serve as a deterrent and intervene early to prevent criminal activities and other undesirable behavior. ASOs adhere strictly to departmental and property policies and procedures in carrying out their duties. This role necessitates specialized training and physical readiness to effectively maintain security and respond to emergencies.

THE SCHEDULE: SWING SHIFT 2:45PM - 11:30PM

THE DAY-TO-DAY:
  • Monitor Access Points: Oversee and control the entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to ensure security and prevent the entry of contraband. Verify identification and authorization for entry.
  • Respond to Emergencies: Secure the scene in emergency situations to prevent further loss or damage. Advise personnel of threats and potential threats, summon emergency responders, and initiate evacuation procedures as necessary.
  • Administer First Aid and Report Incidents: Provide appropriate first aid to injured persons following established protocols. Write detailed reports on daily activities and any irregularities such as property damage, theft, accidents, or unusual occurrences.
  • Conduct Security and Safety Checks: Regularly inspect security systems and perform routine checks to ensure safety protocols are being followed. Warn violators of rule infractions, such as improper identification or carrying forbidden items.
  • Customer Service and Complaint Resolution: Deliver excellent service to guests and employees. Address and resolve complaints and issues involving both guests and employees.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  • At least 21 years old
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid, unexpired driver's license in good standing (not expired or revoked)
  • At least 1 year experience as an armed Security Officer
  • At least 1 year of Security experience
  • Must be able to obtain Maryland SPO Certification and Maryland Wear/Carry Permit

Pay Rate:

The rate for this role is:
$30.00

This rate represents a good faith estimate of the wage rate that MGM reasonably expects to pay for the position upon hire.

Pay will not be below any applicable minimum wage.

Should overtime be worked, employees are paid overtime pay in accordance with state requirements.
