STS Line Maintenance is hiring experienced A&P Mechanics to support line maintenance operations in Syracuse, New York (SYR). This role supports the daily maintenance needs of our airline customers and plays a critical part in delivering safe, reliable, and on time aircraft service. STS Line Maintenance is one of the largest line maintenance support providers in the United States, operating a rapid response, nationwide network built on technical excellence and trust. Job Responsibilities & Duties Report directly to the Line Maintenance Station Manager and Station Leads Work closely with field airlines, flight crews, and Aircraft Maintenance Controllers Ensure aircraft are maintained to airworthiness standards prescribed by applicable regulations, airworthiness directives, company policies, and best practices Inspect, test, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair transport category aircraft airframes and engines using hand tools and test equipment Maintain the highest level of quality and integrity Adjust, repair, or replace defective components based on analysis of test results while following maintenance manuals, schematics, handbooks, and technical documentation Use precision instruments and equipment to measure parts for wear and repair or replace as required Perform additional duties as deemed necessary Work outdoors and in inclement weather as required Perform maintenance on Commercial and Large Regional aircraft including Airbus A320, CRJ, and Embraer 170 platforms Ideal Candidate Requirements & Qualifications Current and valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification with no history of infractions Recent A&P experience on turbine powered aircraft preferred Own set of standard line maintenance tools with calibrated and specialty tooling provided Self motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision Ability to stand, climb ladders and stairs, and lift up to 50 lbs unassisted with or without accommodations Ability to pass background check and drug and alcohol screening Ability to obtain Customs and Border Patrol clearance Basic to mid level computer and organizational skills Experience working under FAA approved Part 145 repair station or Part 135 environment preferred Inspection Authorization license is a plus Ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays Strong customer focus, communication skills, and work ethic Rate of Pay $32 to $42 per hour based on experience and training Benefits Full Time employees receive PTO, Health Insurance, and 401K No benefits for Part Time positions About STS Line Maintenance STS Line Maintenance operates 49 line maintenance stations throughout the United States, Bahamas, United Kingdom, and France.
